I drive through Kings Beach quite often to photograph North Lake Tahoe.  On this day I was a bit late and already I saw the Sun setting over the horizon.  I figured I can salvage whatever Alpen Glow I can so I exited to the closest park I can find on Kings Beach.  There's few clouds, enough to reflect back hues of pink on the lake.  I was glad I was late and took the detour. The contrast and saturation of Velvia 100 film added to the richness of the capture.
