Hello boys and girls, I have great news for you! I am now offering photography tours, aka. Workshops if you really want to be technical. What am I offering that's different than all the other glorious workshops available in the supermarket shelf? Well, how about comedy…no? How about a good pint of ale…no? How about improving your vision and photographic style for attaining the most awesome images in variety of lighting conditions? Yes?!? Read on…

Think of it as an intimate adventure, and no not that kind of intimate, where you are being guided by yours truly to achieve your photographic goals while discovering amazing and exquisite locations. I will cover with you a variety of subjects from wooden view film camera all the way to a modern Medium Format 70 giga-ma-pixel camera. We will discuss the use and functions of filters, meters, lenses, lighting, epic compositions and how it will make you an awesome photographer.

I will only take one photographer at a time on this magical tour so I can focus on only you and your progression as an epic and cool photographer. All these instructions are done in the field and catered to your personal preference. Want to shoot more and talk less? Want to enjoy the sights more and enjoy the hike? Want some serious hand holding? I will accommodate and work with you as much as possible…and did I say I'm good company? I am, no joke, I'll have you cracking up from here to Timbuktu.

I have years of experience utilizing film, digital and various mediums so it doesn't matter what equipment you have - I do require that you bring with you your sense of adventure, sense of fun, and/or sense of humor(optional, I'll have enough for the two of us). Come in with a Holga if you really want to, it doesn't matter, if you can shoot it you can use it - but please don't bring guns. You'll be learning how to best utilize the tools you have to achieve the utmost cool image. You can and will learn advanced topics like the Scheimpflug's principle (say that 3 times really fast!), use of Tilt-Shifting lens, Hyper-focal distance, Circle of confusion, diffraction ect., If you're a beginner who wants to wants to learn more of the easy stuff like depth of field, aperture, shutter, near/far focus distance, I can accommodate that as well.

The Ultra Dynamic Cool Tour!

• All accommodations and transportation is provided.
• Lodging – motels, hotels, campground (BYOT, Bring Your Own Tent).
• Meals – Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner from whichever decent restaurant nearby.
• Jeep and Me – I'll drive and take you places where non off-road vehicles can't go.
• Multiple locations! – This is contingent on you and your preference. You may just want to stay in Death Valley and not check out the Redwoods for example.
• Epic instructions and guidance by yours truly.
• Review and critique of final images.
• Post Processing techniques after the each day's shoot.

What makes this tour cool? Truly dynamic! We could be chasing a sunset in Big Sur one day and be unsatisfied with the photo-shoot only to drive a hundred miles the next day to Lake Tahoe to catch a sunrise! We could visit Death Valley the night before and end up waking next the Redwoods in the California North Coast! This is within my normal parameters as a photographer.

**I will assume you're in good health and shape to do a high-altitude multi-day hike of at least 5 miles each day. I will also assume you have the proper equipment and gear to protect you from the elements. Transportation to the trail head are not provided, we will meet at a proposed time or meet the night prior.
